In a previous phase, the new extension on the public domain as well as the renovation of the existing restaurant and the mansion with offices were executed. Phase two entails the refurbishment and extension of two more mansions along the Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat.
site plan
The new volume completes the new streetscape, appearing simultaneously unique and subtle enough. It creates a public passage, which stretches out from the street, towards the terrace and garden of the restaurant inside the building block.
ground floor plan
Two mansions - on
numbers 47 and 49 - transform into quality offices. Their in- and exteriors get
restored with great attention for their heritage value, making the architecture
regain its existing allure. By optimizing the original floor plans, the inner
circulation is now detangled. Readability and integral accessibility prevail.
