The campus merges care, education and recreation – and thus merges young and old. A nursing home and kindergarten plug onto the existing architecture. They seem to find their place in almost organically: a central entrance and multifunctional space complete the existing plan figure, making it into a coherent whole.

Each compartment
functions autonomously, though were conceived with interconnection and mutual
collaboration in mind. This connectivity is pursued visually – through
materiality and tectonics – but also in plan – through thoughtful implantation
of functions and well-considered circulation.

The inner gardens
and courtyards assume a special role: in addition to the aesthetic value they
bring to the project, they are crucial to the health and well-being of the
project’s users. They ensure the success of the campus, serving as meetings
spaces, playgrounds and resting areas, for all generations to come together.
Throughout these courtyards, a continuous cycle of care and interaction
emerges, where young and old foster each other, supporting each other’s
development and growth.
